This hits on a key aspect of transphobia; it’s almost exclusively targeted at Transwomen. You see this same thing in the resurging debate about Transgender athletes. The scrutiny falls on the women, almost never men. It’s as though they seek to support the patriarchy through Transphobia.

Why does a Transwoman have to hit hormonal levels lower than cis women to compete in sport, while there are zero hormonal guidelines for Transgender men? And it’s already implied that should a Transwoman win, they will be denigrated as being a “cheater” in spite of being held to this unrealistic standard.

Why is it when we talk about “safe spaces” for women, we don’t see any commentary about Transgender Men whom may have female equipment and could rightfully stroll into those spaces covered in facial hair and more muscle tone than a pro-wrestler (not that I believe a Transgender man would do that.). But moreover, if the transphobic crowd only sees us as nothing beyond genitals, then they should be concerned for Trans men in Men's restrooms because they would deem them female and entering into an unsafe space. But you NEVER see their concern go that way, it’s always “save the (cis) women, from the Trans women.” It’s a double standard that I really want to see these Transphobes try to justify.

You get the drift. All the narratives are written in a fashion that SPECIFICALLY targets just those who have attributes of a male anatomy. And it’s true that statistically speaking more members of congress have been caught engaging in (what they’d deem) immoral sexual activity in public spaces than any verifiable Trans individual. (verifiable relating to documented medical history of treatment for gender dysphoria.)

I actually find the narrative that we’re just ‘rapists on the hunt’ to be beyond laughable. Like why in the hell would someone even go through the trouble? There are way easier ways to be a rapist than to get dolled up and stroll into a PUBLIC restroom all confident in your femininity. The laughable part is that the individuals who levy these assignations are treating a penis as though the mere possession of one implies the function of its use. Therefore they must honestly believe that the purpose of a penis is to commit rape. I dare say that says a lot more about what’s going on in the mind’s of these Transphobes than actual Trans individuals. The only ones who are truly rapists are the ones who spend their waking moments dreaming up this fantasy. It’s a reflection of what THEY would do if they could enter those spaces, not Trans people.
