I’ve recently stumbled upon the song “Zero” by Imagine Dragons and its a poignant reminder of how I was trying to escape the life I was living, the life I couldn’t transition in.

I find myself stuck listening to it — post transition — and still feeling like a “Zero” and “looking for a way out.” I suppose this life has always felt like a construct to me. I can bend some rules in an attempt to find some level of comfort, but at the end of the day it’s still a prison.
