It should concern every citizen of Gourley’s jurisdiction that he’s incapable of recognizing basic dignity.

Obviously we’ve known each other a while now, and when I hear about the crap you were made to endure I get very angry. While my transition has only been wrought with my own angst regarding an absence of suffering, I am forever grateful to you and those who came before me which have paved the way for that absence of suffering. You’ve done more for the Trans community than I’m sure you’ll ever know, and I hope you keep fighting.

Someday it will be possible to transition in this world and be met with zero resistance. But that can only happen by sharing stories — such as this — which illustrate just how barbaric humanity has been to the Transgender community.
