As an open Trans Woman in Oklahoma, I know that we don’t get to be seen as human until we are actually seen. Being passable isn’t really an option for me anyway, but I have been very surprised about how I have been accepted since I began transitioning 5 years ago.

This is me at work (trucking) yesterday; some days I literally wear my identity on my shirt, and I could count the number of times I’ve been discriminated against on 1 hand. I think society is coming around.
